Though you wouldn't know it, I've always been obsessed with Australia and New Zealand and have been dying to go since I was a little kid. I remember having pen pals from Adelaide to celebrate Texas and South Australia sharing a sesquicentennial year [1986]. This reminded me again, and gives me even more reasons to want to go since some of my favorite crafty-artist bloggers are from the lands down under. And still loving everything I can find about New Zealand.... I made the mistake of looking up plane fare and got depressed. But who knows, it could happen someday.

OK, now I know we're meant to be friends. I have wanted to visit Down Under for a looonnnggg time and had a pen pal from New Zealand for a few years when I was growing up!! I wish I could remember her name (of course it was earlier than 1986 . . . )

Well, let's start saving now... last I checked, one round trip ticket to Auckland ran about $3750! I investigated no further. But, one never knows...
"Nothing is impossible with God." Maybe when we're in our 50s (OK, me in my 50s, you still in your 40s), we can go on an adventure Down Under. I think Daniel might like to go, too, but I might have to spend his airfare for college tuition. ;-)
