Winning, losing, winning.

Well, I didn't win the quilt contest, but I wonder if any of those lucky winners have had as much fun chopping vegetables tonight as I have. It was a bachelorette party like none I've ever attended: 5+ bottles of wine, piles of vegetables and meat, many many loaves of bread, a table full of snacks, a homemade cake, and about 10 women armed with many knives and cutting boards, all talking and laughing and chopping at once. Add a random funk/hip hop soundtrack, exhaustion + giddiness, old friends of the bride from high school and kindergarten and you've got some serious good times, even if it was disguised as prep work for a rehearsal dinner fondue. I'd love to do that about once a week... preferably on a Friday night so it wouldn't have to end so soon.

Here's to the lucky bride (and groom!) and the kickoff to their exciting weekend. Good times!!!
