Flyer on our mailbox last week read, in part:
Attention neighbors!
We're getting married in our backyard this week...we have a permit from Metro to block off [the alley and part of the street]. We apologize for any inconvenience...we would really appreciate your keeping any dogs inside. You might be able to enjoy our live music. Please minimize any noise like dogs barking or fire crackers [during the early part of the ceremony]. Happy Fourth of July!
Note: these neighbors have two incredibly yappy, unruly dogs. They must've been exempt by being part of the ceremony.
